Urban Witches A lot of talk about Wicca involves communing with Nature. So where does that leave us apartment dwellers of the concrete jungle who are hard pressed to find greenery at all, let alone a forest or babbling broke? Don't doubt that nature is still there, all around us. It might not be in rich forests or rolling hills, but it is there, in concrete and steel and glass. Nature's energy is anything created. These are all forms of nature, of earth, simply in a different form. Why is honey, made from substances on this planet natural, while glass, also made from substances on the same planet not natural? The city is the new primordial forest. Don't feel you have to move to connect with natural forces. Finding them wherever you are may be the stronger lesson for you. (Christopher Penczak). Cities have their own natural energy and magick. Urban energy is usually stronger than in most rural places as it is confined to a smaller space with more people packed in. Anyone who has every visited a major metropolitan area can feel it. All you have to know is where to look for it. Living on wild city energy is life in the fast lane. You can do it but make sure that you have a hole to crawl into when your tired out and space to clean up in (Kaldera, Schwartzstein).
