Christianity
and Wicca
"I
never told my religion, nor scrutinized that of another. I never
attempted to make a convert, nor wished to change another's creed.
I have judged of others' religion by their lives, for it is from
our lives, and not from our words, that our religions must be read."
-- Thomas Jefferson
Religion can be a very tricky subject, especially when it comes
to something as misunderstood and as misrepresented as Wicca. Every
Religion has its fundamentalists and its fanatics and sometimes,
it is those extremists that can cause issues for the religion as
a whole.
One thing that should
be addressed right up front is that being non-Christian is not the
same thing as being anti-Christian. What is in this section is not
the put down of one religion, but but the story of two religions'
long, intertwined history. Religions that actually have more in
common than some would like to admit.
In order to understand
the link, we must understand the history. Here's a brief look at
how the two connect throughout history.
The
old religion
The effect of a new religion
The rebirth of the old ways
