The Magician is a person with many talents, who can do many things with those skills. As an alchemist and transformer, he epitomizes the ability to translate ideas into action. This card symbolizes that there is great creativity is there for the seeker, if he or she is willing to act and is committed to it. It represents a noble use of one’s talents. Possession of the power and influence. Sensitive to unseen powers and psychic ability. Often this person has to choose what they want to focus on before he or she can become successful. It also represents a connection to the divine (you will usually see a person holding up a rod waiting for divine lighting to strike). Could be a sign that some magickal influences could be coming into your life or that your intuition will be more perceptive or that synchronicities are more apparent. This can also be a card warning of trickery or a sly person waiting to play you. The Magician presides over all the cards in the Minor Arcana and his strength and properties are always influenced by the neighboring cards in a reading. Reversed - Too much communication, too intellectual, manipulative. Weakness of will. Ineptitude. Insecurity. Lack of imagination. Use of one’s skills for destructive ends. Willpower applied to evil end. Deception. Manipulative Trickster.
