The Devil

The Devil
card has several meanings. The Devil card can represent the vices
and/or addictions the seeker is wrapped up in and a need to control
them or at least be aware of their presence before they become a
major problem. Its about temptation.
However,
sometimes, it can also represent the seeker needs to loosen up a
bit and have some fun and be a little naughty, just dont go
overboard. It can also represent seduction and sex. Our primitive
needs need to be address but not necessarily allowed to rule.
The Devil
card could also signify that the seeker must overcome blocked feelings
that are preventing him or her from moving to the next level in
life. If unconfronted, these feelings could cause considerable damage
to the seeker. This is the dark aspect of the psyche. It is a time
to remove blocks and inhibitions.
It could
also represent being subservient or bad outside influences as well
as our own fears.
Reversed
- Lack of vision. Blocked energy. Divorce. Recognizing someones
needs. Overcoming obstacles. Repressing your feelings can lead to
an outburst. Looking to vices to relieve suffering.
This is
another card that requires you to use surrounding cards to determine
if it is presented in a positive or negative light.
