Death

The Death
card is probably one of the most famous and most misunderstood card
in the deck. The Death card rarely means a physical death. In fact,
most often is symbolizes a powerful, being turned inside-out change
in the seeker's life, which cannot be controlled or curbed
a transformation. It is death followed by rebirth. It is an ending
to something in the seeker's life that will initiate great change.
It is clearing away negative conditions for new and better situations.
This change is not optional but something required and unchangeable.
A nice correlation for this card is to think of the phoenix rising
from the ashes.
Death can
also be a reminder to "get down to business" and to focus
on what is important in your life.
Rely on
the other cards in the spread to clarify what this change may be.
Reversed
- hanging on - not letting go. Stagnation and immobility. Inertia
or slow change. Old habits are hindering growth. Feeling held back
but not willing to risk change.
