Read the introduction to the Minor Arcana

Read the introduction for each suit:

Swords
Cups/Chalices
Wands/Staffs/Rods/Spears
Coins/Pentacles

Exercise:

Divide your minors into suits. Spread them out, one suit at a time and study them. After giving some thought to your particular deck, what associations to you see for your suits? Which element to they represent? Which season? (Remeber this is about YOUR associations. They may be very different than the ones listed on the site and that is perfectly fine.) Be sure to explain why you chose these associations in your journal.
