Teach Yourself
Tarot - Lesson 5
Exercise
1: (Do before the readings)
Lay out your Court Cards
and study them. Without
giving thought to meaning, which card would you say best signifies
you? Which one are you most drawn to? Explain why in your journal.
(Leave room below this entry as we will be coming back to it.)

Court Cards.
Exercise
2:
Okay, you know the drill
by now. Spend 10-15 minutes connecting with each Court Card and
writing about it in your journal. (At this time you may also want
to consider what astrological sign - if any - you feel fits each
card as well).
Exercise 3:
Go back to the page in
your journal where you chose which Court Card best signifies you.
Now, look at the associations and definitions of the cards again.
Is the card you chose the card that most matches your traits? If
not, which card does? Why do you think you were drawn to a different
card? If the traits do match you, explain how. (You may need to
refer to the "suits" lesson for this.)
Exercise 4:
Think about the characteristics
and traits the Court Cards portray. Match them with someone you
know in your life. In your journal, write why this card reminds
you of this person, listing the behaviors, habits or characteristics
that caused you to make this connection.
