Moon
and Astrological Sign Combinations
We've discussed
Void-of-Course so you know that astrology does effect the magickal
energy of the moon. This lesson will go into more detail about that
relationship.
As the moon
makes its way across the sky, it travels through the constellations.
Each constellation is associated with a particular astrological
sign. As the Moon connects with that sign, its power is augmented
by that astrological association.
What sign
the moon is in at the time you work magick can have a great impact
on the outcome. Work magick when the moon is in a complimentary
sign and you'll get a nice boost.
In general
terms, spells and rituals involving the fire element should be performed
when the Moon is in a fire sign: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius.
Spells and rituals involving
the earth element should be performed when the Moon is in an earth
sign: Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn.
Spells and rituals involving
the air element should be performed when the Moon is in the air
sign: Gemini, Libra, Aquarius.
Spells and rituals involving
the water element should be performed when the Moon is in a water
sign: Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces.
The Moon works its way
through the signs in astrological order: Aires, Taurus, Gemini,
Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius,
Pisces.
It is always a good idea

This is a time to draw emphasis to yourself, central ideas
or institutions. It is a time for your ambition. Since Leo
powers unconditional love, it is a good time for all those
romance spells.

environment, health, and extended service. Favors accomplishment of details and commands from higher up. It’s also
a good time to work any fact-finding magick or for studying
and learning. Also a good time to analyze a situation. It’s

partnership, legal matters, small animals. Increases self-awareness, favors self-examination and interaction with
others. It’s a time to work balancing magick and bringing
harmony back into your life.

withdraws from the surface of life, hibernates within, secretly
reorganizing and realigning. This energy focuses on dreaming,
nostalgia, intuition and psychic impressions. It is a good
time for spiritual or philanthropic activities.

spells you want to work in the next week. What sign would be the
most appropriate for those workings? When will the moon be in that
