Meet Maera When I was little, I saved many frogs from being squished to their deaths by stuffing them into my overalls. I know that sounds quite odd, but trust me... it was necessary for their survival. I also talked to any animal that was willing to sit and listen. Surprisingly, dogs seem to have the highest tolerance for a chatter box, especially when given treats. And, oddly enough (at least to some people) I also walked to close-by cemeteries just to say hi to the headstones who didn't seem to have any other visitors. So, you may be wondering where this is all going. My point
is (which is rare)… who knew I was a little Witch bursting
to get out?! Not me at that time, that is for sure. I just thought
I was being nice. I had a life-altering experience that opened up many doors, spiritually speaking. I started having many dreams that I couldn't explain. At first I wrote it all off as an active subconscious. But then realized that there was much more to it. I started doing an obscene amount of research and learned how to read, interpret and control these dreams. It freaked me out when I began having premonitions in my dreams. But I still did not see this as any type of sign from the Goddess. Skip ahead another ten years… I started
a new job, lucky me. Actually I was. There were two people I was
immediately drawn to and turns out both are Pagan. Coincidence?
I shared my stories of my experiences, not only with my dreams…
but with some other unexplained events (I am sure all of you have
had several) and they simply smiled. Later, each came to me and
asked if I would be interested in participating in a ritual. Leaving
it up to me, I jumped at the chance because it felt like something
I had to do. And I am glad I did. From that
first circle to this moment in time, I am home. I continue to practice
as a solitary Witch; I am also a cofounder of the Ladies of the
Mist, a small family coven; and I am a proud Dedicant of the Coven
of the Black Wolf, daughter coven of the Black Forest Clan, whose
founder and national clan head is Lady Silver RavenWolf. I still
enjoy dream-work (lucid dreaming, dream partnering, and analyzing
any dream you wish to throw at me). I've also grown very comfortable
with herbal magick as well as candle magick. I'd love
